RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, March 20, 2013 -- BASF today announced it has asked the United States District Court of Northern Georgia to find Makhteshim Agan, its subsidiary Control Solutions, Inc. (CSI), and Do It Yourself Pest Control, Inc., are violating BASF patent rights in the manufacture and sale of fipronil-based termiticides/insecticides. Specifically, products produced by MANA and CSI, and distributed by Do It Yourself Pest Control, violate the manufacturing patent known as the ‘945 patent.
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, January 10, 2013 -- BASF announced it will take its distinct businesses within the U.S. non-crop markets and merge them into one. The primary businesses known as Pest Control Solutions and Professional Turf & Ornamentals (T&O), and secondary businesses including Professional Vegetation Management and Market Business Development, will now collectively be known to the marketplace as the BASF Specialty Products Department (SPD). Each respective market will continue to be served, but BASF will do so as one business unit led by Jan Buberl, Director of Specialty Products.

BASF announced that Richard Warriner has joined its Pest Control Solutions business as Eastern Regional Sales Manager effective June 18, 2012. In his role, Warriner, who will be based in Raleigh, North Carolina, will manage the Eastern region sales team, help spearhead business strategy and oversee sales activities for the Eastern region.
